DESCRIPTION

GlobalData’s Technology team is looking to hire a Senior Analyst. This position directly contributes to the stream of research output in the form of data/data driven reports.

ROLES & RESPONSIBLITIES

Synthesize insightful innovation landscape reports on how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, robotics, and alternative reality are disrupting the world’s major industries like retail, banking, and pharma across their value chain.
Thorough understanding of the IP landscape to identify trending technologies from patent filings and grants to create gold-standard patent landscape reports.
Use best practices in data viz. to provide insights in brief and for a quick understanding of the topic.
Review reports generated automatically using scripts as well as reports prepared by team members to spot missing elements.
Author high-quality PRs and analyst briefs on not only technology themes like artificial intelligence but also macro themes like sustainability and COVID-19; consumer trend themes like personalization; industry themes like direct-to-consumer; and regulation themes like data privacy.
Ability to work in an industry and technology agnostic setup in addition to any core expertise in a particular industry and technology.
Build deliverables as per the team requirements and take up the production responsibility to publishable standards.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

· Preferably MBA with 3+ years of experience in writing insightful reports on emerging technologies and patent trends.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Strong analytical and technical skills
Good communication and presentation skills
Clear, concise, and grammatically correct business English
Proficient in the use of MS-Office suite (esp. PowerPoint)
Self-starter and ability to work with the team as well as individually

Core Skills and Education

Should have hands on experience on WordPress for minimum 5 years (Mandatory).
Candidate should have strong Knowledge & experience on PHP.
Good knowledge on MY SQL, J Query, Drupal, Joomla, Core PHP & other open-source tools
Good to have knowledge on knowledge in JavaScript, Ajax, jQuery, XML, XHTML, HTML5, CSS & knowledge of working with third party web services.
Knowledge on Ecommerce (Payment Gateways, Shopping Carts, SEO Friendliness Coding, etc.,)
Strong Database design and programming skills

Education Preference:

Good Communication Skills with B-Tech/MCA/M.sc/M-tech

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Strong expertise in planning, managing product roadmaps as per the Organization strategies

· Strong expertise in Acquisition integrations, managing multiple technology teams

· Design and implement medium to enterprise level Drupal/WordPress applications with enterprise workflow and business process integration and design patterns.

· Architecting inception-to-delivery of Drupal/WordPress projects.

· Well versed with Organization structure and understand the roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder and define these for subordinates

· Provide required updates on assigned work packages, resources

· Constructing, and documenting the artifacts of software systems using Unified Modeling Language (UML)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Atleast 2 years of writing high-profile macroeconomic PESTLE, PEST and Country Outlook Reports experience.

• Track macroeconomic trends on a regular basis and provide analysis in terms of impact on different sectors.

• Contribute in data collection, estimations and forecasting of key economic variables

• Analyse and provide quick commentary and opinion in the form of PRs on latest macroeconomic data releases

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Knowledge in market/business research domain (Economic Research)

• Ability to execute extensive quality research

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage own time and workload effectively

• Familiarity with MS-Office applications, especially with Word and Excel

• Familiarly with modelling techniques and asset valuation techniques is an advantage

• Demonstrated tenacity/persistence, curiosity, sense of urgency, and creativity

• University Master’s degree (Economics is preferred) or equivalent with prior experience
